Do you know what makes a good friend is? Do you think you have one? A true friend is something we all want no matter what age we are. Someone you can be yourself with, tell your secrets to laugh with and have fun with!
Today I am going to share what makes a good friend and a few things that you can look out for someone who may not be such a great friend.
Let’s start with what makes a good friend!
A good friend is someone you can talk to and feel comfortable in your own skin with. You know they aren’t judging you for any reason.
It’s someone who is a great listener. They are always there for you no matter what the situation.
This someone is a great secret keeper, and you can trust them with anything!
They care about your feelings and they aren’t there to put you down.
It’s someone who lifts you up.
They make you laugh and it’s someone you can always count on.
To be a good friend to someone you can have all these qualities and more. Can you think of someone who has all these qualities? I sure hope so!
Sometimes we come across someone that has these qualities but at times can make us feel less than. Remember, that’s not ok.
A real true friend should never make you feel bad about yourself. There are a few signs you need to look out for. Just so you don’t get into a situation where you feel hurt or sad more than you feel good when you are with that so called friend.
Here are some signs to look for of someone you may need to distance yourself from.
- Makes you feel bad for things you say.
- Laughing at you not with you.
- Talking behind your back.
- Excluding you on purpose.
- They judge you for being who you are.
- They get mad when you stand up for yourself.
Knowing what makes a good friend is important. When you know these things it helps you find friends that make you feel good inside! It’s also important to make sure you know the signs of a not so good friend. I hope this was helpful comment below if it was!
